Engin appreciation dinner.
This year's dinner is so much better than last year's Probaby because of all the sponsers that biz director that Axm has garnered. They no longer have to gripe about how poor they are, but rather, how they're going to use the money. Last year's dinner was at KR Guild house, but this year, we're having it at NUSS Guild house, which is at Suntec lvl 5. That place is luxuriously decorated. Red carpet leading to the main counter, nice furniture, great deco. If I hadn't know better, I would think that Nussu siphoned off our money to decorate that place. But then again, the place is not govern by Nussu.
Food
The food was nice. Nice as in edible, delectable, and not mention filling, not a bad eight course dinner. We even have food left over from the meal, partly because our table is not fully filled and we were quite full towards the end of the meal.
Everyone's better off than me.
It is so good to see everybody again. We seldom talk at length to each other in school because of different work schedule.So, today was quite fun. And Wy has a car, a brand honda jazz! Okay That makes it almost the whole committee guys have cars except me. His left broken wrist just healed and then passed his driving test, so he bought a car for himself. I think the whole committee came, except for Steph, Wx, Oudi and Kelvin. O week filled two tables. While camp comm filled one table, I thought camp comm was suppose to have more people than the week comm. Furthermore, there the camp comm table has one more space left. Yk could have taken that space. Guess he couldn't come because he has some family thingy. I had this impression that everyone have their respective committee photo with the photo frame. But apparently, only oweek comm people are given a photo. What a nice gesture.
Seeram is duhz
The dinner was suppose to start at 730 and they ask us to come at 6, for formaility's sake and the fact that some people would be late. Prof Seeram was so duhz. He kept pronouncing Engin club as "indian club" during his speech. I'm sure many present will bear witness to that. I'm so glad I didn't have to see in the same table as the dean. I was looking towards his table and the 27 MC were nodding their head listening intentively to what he has to say. The whole evening! How can you take that for a whole evening? I'd actually have prefered it if yp(27th hon gen sec/28th vp) had chosen a global perspective instead of a student nus perspective for the dean to discourse on.
Cw looks like some kind of hotel manager in black Tux and pants. Especially together with his bulid and walking around all the tables checking, he looked like someone who's aiming to please the crowd. "how the food Sir?" "Is everything ok?" "Is the food to your liking, Sir" Seriously, I swear he has the seh for it.
Doi drunk?
I think doi was a bit tipsy at the end, having drunk the alcohol. Zw her bf, had to send her home. So she couldn't join us for the movie and Lionel left cause I think he had to catch some F1 race or something. Zw was the Mc for that evening. I think he's not suited to host such a formal event, he didn't really care if he pronounced the dean's name wrongly, because after all he's from arts and that's not his dean. But he was quite an entertaining mc. It was funny the way he pronounced byon's name. Byon gotten three awards that night. So by the third award, Zw was saying he is his favourite man of the night, pronouncing his name yet again in that funny way.
The myth.
It's been a while since I watched a Jackie chan movie or any movie for that matter of fact. It's a very entertaining and extremely ridiculous and out of this world show. The earlier stages of the movie was still believable. But towards the end, it started to get too hard to swallow and could only be deem as providing entertainment for the masses. Hee-seon kim looks gorgeous throughout the movie, except for the part when she first appeared, her hairstyle looked so large and unappealing. Jackie chan is so lucky to have her on the set. I think the whole crew is very protective of her. At the end of the movies where they were showing the NG films, when she fell doing a stunt, literally everyone when to her aid. Some of the people in the film weren't exactly what they appear to be. I laughed at the realization that some of the indians in the movie were chinese people with black foundation. Still it's a decent watch considering it's a chinese movie and it costs me almost 10 bucks.
