of magic eight balls
So I asked the magic eight ball that has been lying dormant on my brother's desk if this year would be a good year. The magic eight ball says "Without a doubt"

That is certainly a good sign although I don't think Magic eight balls are trustworthy. But so far, nothing has point to suggest otherwise. Then again, it has only been Two days. Then I asked if it was trustworthy. Strangely, of the three times I asked, turned out to be "Try again later. " or "Concentrate harder and try again." Creepy, maybe it doesn't want to be exposed as a fraud. I stopped for fear I might evoke anger the magic eight ball spirit.

K I was actually bored, not knowing what to write on my lab report cos I swear it's in Ancient Alien language that only engineers can understand. Engineers are freaks! FREAKS!!!

Big year Come one.
Wahaha I'm rich! muahaha.. RICH!! RICH!!

K so I went around and met people I haven seen in doggy years. Was fun! I had so many relatives if all of them came to gramps' house at the same time the place will be packed like Zouk!( I wanted to say MOS but it's too big to be packed easily ) Taught cousins that were too young to gamble. K we're bad big brothers so wat? haha.. Food was nice, Had Ba KUA! ba KUA! and more ba Kua! wahaha..

Still trying to collect more Hongbao by whacking more monsters! wahaha.. Now you can whack monsters and Hongbao will drop and you can exchange it with Cai shen to get a random amount of Mesos. What a deal!

Shops all closed today. This whole neighbourhood is like a deadtown.

Wonder what happens to the unsold New year goods at all the shops? Do they get thrown away? What a waste!

Back to reality, Still have one unfinished lab report which I completely do not understand(Mr lab assisant guy says it's the gist of the module OMG!!), four tutorials and lots of notes to reread and comprehend. I'm so screwed! Out of the five modules, only maths can make it and it's supposed to get harder. K I confess I don't understand PDE, Fourier, inverse fourier either. But the lecturer talks as if the subject is damn easy, what's his deal!? Maybe that's why his son CMI, his EQ is quite low ba, can't feel the emotion responses of distresses from students.

"It wasn't just louise's birthday today. It was also erm.. my bodyguard's birthday. And I scrapped my knees giving him his present." ~CSI 613

WTF!

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR TO ALL!

Beardy, I call him beardy cos I can't be bothered with his real name, obviously exhilariated that he got into the finals!!

But we all know who's gonna win the finals..
Muahahaha..

bad lab.. bad day..
"Big brother is watching you. " ~Big brother

Not in the chirpest of moods today. Lab was a total disaster, I'd rather not go into the specifics of the events. At least I got to know one more person. It seems I get to know one more person every lab.

Wrote all these shoutouts abouth how people sux and people asking me for reports on Msn and avoiding all my questions. Then someone had an even badder day than me. Well, I thought my day was bad enough. That was when I deleted all these derogatory shoutouts. I'm not one for political correctness but you never know who's reading.

Tired go slp le..

Starships - we built this city
nice song.. I heard this song on the radio today and I liked it. I've heard this song before, but not in it's entirety.
There's this other song that's played on airwaves called" the Chinese new year song." I didn't catch the singers apparently 2 people. At first I heard it, I thought, man that was bad. Then as the song goes on, it does contain some truth to it and it's so bad it's good! I don't know the actual lyrics, but it talks about how chinese people eat Ba kua, ba hu, during chinese new year and hangs upside down words. Abt how chinese celebrate CNY with steamboats and aunts will ask u to eat more it saying "it good it good" Abt what people do like play mahjong during that time. How true!

So anyone if u have that song ! Pls send me!!

Two more days to CNY!
CNY is coming ! Nope, not getting that CNY feeling. Maybe I'll have to tour Chinatown for a bit to get that feeling. Suffice to say, I've not gotten to that spring cleaning part, which supposedly is a tradition that means getting rid of old stuff with the coming of the year. Okay it sounds better in Chinese.

I caught A.Idol! Finally! It's getting a bit boring for me, same old stuff. We have people with skins thick as rhino skin. I just don't get it. Why do people think they sing well when they absolutely do not? At least Simon is brutally honest. Well, he doesn't get that much criticism now like past seasons. He has this catchphase that goes " I'm not trying to be rude, but.." That's certainly a good sign he's changed for the better isn't it?

OMG I dreamt that Martina Hingis Crashed out yesterday and she crashed out like in a heartbeat!! OMG

I want it that way.
"TELL ME WHY (AIN'T NOTHING BUT A HEARTACHE)" ~ Yes it's tonight!! *Screams Screams Screams Screams..

Out of all the modules I'm taking, I'm loving 2900 the most. Well, considering that the core are all maths, calculating, incomprehensible and essentially boring.

Nothing's sticking..

Bored so I took a peek at the noticeboard.

Make your children work for their keep

"After the birth of a child there's always the temptation to say "yes it's cute, but what can it do?! Until recently, the answer was simply 'lie there and cry', but now babies can be put on the payroll, so to speak, almost as soon as they're born.
Just dress your young one in Baby Mops and set him or her down on any hard wood or tile floor that needs cleaning. You may at first need to get things started by calling the infant from across the room, but pretty soon they;ll be doing it all by themselves.
There's no child esploitation involved. The kid is doing what he does best anyway. Crawling. But with Baby Mops he's also learning responsibility and a healthy work ethic"

Well I must be demented..I found this funny and laughed for quite a while. Am I the only one that finds this funny?

Quick shout out!
90 more days to exams!! that's 3 months!! omfg.. !!! die le!! panicks...

I do not make sense
Time really passes mightly fast when you're not looking or trying to level up. It's the start of the third school week and Chinese New Year is just a stone's throw away. Well that bascially reads as Ang baos, unhealthy doses of snacks and Ba kwa, unspecified rounds of late night mahjongs (yippee), before the Tests and exams starts to take shape and drive us up a dark hidden alley wall where we panicked and try to fight it off with our untrained minds.

Sch's madness, I'm feeling the stretch, those that don't probably aren't good students to begin with. We're forced to retain memories liken to when we were learning to crawl and walk when all that they are teaching us now is how to run. Yes, it is expected of us to know how to crawl and walk, at our level, but i've seem to forgotten some of the intricate details, only vague memories remain. Yes that is why some modules are inextricably linked to another and you can't take it unless you have taken the prior. How could I have ever forgotten that. Silly me...

I curse and swear at the lecturers and the system for making us jack of all trades when you only need to be a master of one to etch a living. It's a screwed up system but hey, it works. That doesn't make the madness any less mad, but it at least abates the pent up emotions. Ranting works. So there.

Fancy a cup of...

Cat-pachinno?
Get it? cuppachinno , Cat-pachinno...
haha okie..
nvm...

of labs, missed idols and ousted players
Well, the nights were long and the days were longer. Doing Lab reports are suppose to be a tedious affair, but lately I've gotten used to microsoft excel for quick calculations and resorting to inquiry on lab reports of long ago to tide me this tumultuous period. Thus, I managed to squeeze in a bit of time I otherwise would have spend on reports for maple so I can probably get to use a cromi eariler.

Horrors of horrors, I managed to miss Idol I've so wanted to watch for the second time.Well, I can't be responsible if I'm busying doing my lab! No matter, it's always readily available as long as you have a connection to the world wide web. Miss xt shut down her blog and decided to become a full time mugger, I'd have laughed my ass off and derided her for her wanting to be a mugger but I wouldn't. Cos I'm a nice guy now. .....*really..

Xin fu, Happiness would always remind me of Stefanie sun cos she would always sing of Happiness gone past, searching for happiness, grasping for that happiness , elusive yet near. Sometimes I would wonder if happiness is saying, "The furthest distance is not to the moon and back, but me right here in front of you and yet you do not see me." I've learnt to acknowledge all that is happiness. Being alive is happiness, Being able to eat three meals a day is happiness or two in my case, having a roof over your head, that is happiness. High aspirations like getting a brillant achievements may also serve as happiness but not everyone can attain that, Does that mean those that do not will remain miserable all their lives?

Meanwhile, in the "you have got to be kidding me section", Lleyton Hewitt is out of the Australian open ! So much for home ground advantage, there was never any in tennis games to begin with. Mary Pierce is also out. omfg You are so kidding me. Tell me this is not true.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away.
I'm going to turn into an eternal optimist! From now on! hahaz..

Lab's tomorrow, It's so going be fun! Yupz.. looking forward to it. I've always loved labs. They're always such a doll to do and complete. God, I've so much to do. ttyl! I never knew busy-ness can be a great substitute for happiness. Like heroin is to euphoria.

Today's Jay's Birthday. Happy birthday Jay Chou!! Rocks..

>>Hey drizzelz, I got you this Mp3 you said u wanted it. Loved it..

Blahz... no thoughts today. It's just one of those days where I don't feel like doing anything, just laying back watching americian Junk...

24 is such a nice show, I wonder why I never discovered it in the first place. It's season five but it's really technicially day 5 since each episode is 1hr of what they did in a day.

Time to sleep early, time to restore some normacy into my screwed up bio clock and digestive track.

Meanwhile, down under... First rounds of AO was quite predictible, hot favourites advance into the second round. yay.. Go Federer on the federer express! Don't get trumped by Layton Hewitt please...

Same shit, different smell.
Was alternating between Grey's anatomy (Katherine Heigl is hot) and school Superstar results show. The girls look so kiddish and unappealing while the guys look just okay one of them looked like my engin o week comm programs head who fractured his hand, he got to the next round. These students should be focusing on their studies instead of entering some hyped up competition. Well, there are people who take the safer route, and then there are people who take the riskier shortcut.

Second week of school and it's the same old shit again. But different smell. It smells different everytime. I can't help feel stuffed at all the work that is going to pile up by the end of this week and yet all I can think of is when can I use a Cromi. Labs, tutorials, project have become synonymous with 'crappy bullshit i can't really not give a damn about'. Tomorrow's gonna suck, I can tell. 10-5 ain't exactly rosy.

12 more days to CNY. Hopefully that break will warrant a more cheerful outlook on life.

世界上最远的距离,不是天涯海角的隔离,也不是生离死别的痛苦, 而是 我在你的演唱会 你却没有发觉我的存在。~Drizzelz

The concert impacted me so much that I still remember vivid scenes from it like it happened yesterday. Oh wait, it did happen yesterday. But that first line is just a metaphor.I can't get her(Stefanie) outta my mind, I'm going crazy. First day is repeating in my head like a broken cassette player except it sounds so much nicer... I missed her. Sighz...

It wouldn't be the first time that Cors screwed up. In order to prevent a traffic congestion for people rushing in, they've extended the tutorial registeration period to four days this time. But I got an email saying I didn't get my tutorials. My heart skipped a beat.
Not even one??wait isn't the tutorial supposed to end tues??"

Then I asked around, I guessed everyone got the stupid mail. Except for those who have yet to place their choices aka gm who is perpetually late on stuffs.

我和燕姿有个约会。。。
First day First day First day today every day First day First day First day First day today every day....
~First day.

Stefanie's concert was tmd good la... Although there were a few grievences. If you want to go National stadium area to eat, be warn that there are no affordable food joints in a 5000 zillion metre radius. And the cold burger and the multitude of choices of drinks (lime, lemonade orange~ Like wat is the F*** difference??) sold at the concert entrance is highly overpriced. If it was warm and tasty, i wouldn't probably mind, but the fact that it was cold and indelectable. Nevertheless I chomped it down hungrily.Olinda Cho lookalike beside me was screaming into my ears every 20 seconds. I simply do not appreciate the shouting thank you very much...

Stefanie's singing abilities were far better than I had expected it to be. She sang song after song without rest, showing how talented and enduring she is. Her on stage presence is overwhelming with confidence, not to the point of arrogance and it felt awesome. She was totally at home on stage and I really enjoyed that. It was evident that she felt proud being able to carry off wearing feminine dresses and look great. The stage was not at all showy unlike Jolin's concert, it was plain simple and nice. It's probably because it was four sided and it would be really difficult to put something. If you actually noticed, she has no female dancers at all, all her dancers that accompanied her during the dance were male. She did a latino dance with them which I think was great.Cos she was on high heels and you don't have to be a genius to know how tough it is to dance on those babies. Most of her dance moves were short, quick and sharp, thus easy to learn, but it lacks the energy and might that dancers should have. Then again she's not exactly a dancer to begin with. She sang most of her well known songs. FIR was there, they sang 3 songs! First day, Lydia and "爱的力量". Tanya, her good friend was there too, thank god it was not 周崇庆。。Anyway, they sang the only song they sang together which was 原点 and 陌生人..

The first goodbye exit and re-entrance was soooo obviously staged(now which concert wasn't), and she was afraid that the audience would have left by the time she came back. She made the audience did 波浪 like she had orginally planned when she was interviewed on the concert, she had said she always wanted to do that. It was fun..The moment felt so awesome that I want to marry it and have it's children of little moments. And it was amazing that the whole concert sang with her on 天黑黑。。which was incidently her 成名曲 too。。。In fact, it felt so great that I would cheat on the previous moment and marry this moment instead.

Wish you were there.

Good things never last. Okay, back to tutorial registeration planning, which is currently giving me a headache that I don't think even 10 boxes of panadol can cure. Then again 10 boxes of panadol would lead to me having on OD...

Edit: sorry for the Chinese inserts, if you can't read it. SUCKS TO BE YOU!

I gotta admit I have absolutely no idea what the icelandic Professor was blabbling about at Fluids mechanic. Icelandic cos he's from Iceland. He's name is not exactly a dead giveaway, I had to use Sergey Brin and Larry Page search page to arrive at that conclusion. He has absoultely no idea why we're giggling like a bunch of sissy school girls whenever he says "omega" which in his accent sounds like "oh my god" Someone outta tell him before he calls out lord's name in vain again.

This is a game I used to play when I was tiny, the obective of the game is to carry on saying it forever and ever until someone slips up or can blab a name. And yes we do go faster and faster... Haha those were the days...

Stupid Korean Rain, took the world by storm... Not veri shuai lor! Go away come again another day.

There's this RH banner on blk5 facing UCC that says "MAKE IT HAPPEN!" At first I was like, where did I hear that before. Then I recalled my rsm doing that fist clenched handsign saying make it happen. omfg!. Where the hell did they get that? That's so our ATEC slogan. My money's on wj who probably suggested it. Oh come on, have more creativity...

The rain is not good.
We're not approaching global warming, we're approaching another ice age! India freezes over in 70 years, heavy snow in china, North korea, Japan. We're all gonna die!! Give me some sunshine please...
No wonder it's so freaking cold these few days. The period of torrential rain is getting to most of us. If it doesn't stop soon people will turn "ki siao"

Jolin's new song! hahaz

First day!!
Here we go again, Same old shyt again. Up and down the lecture hall, 102 more days to Exam day!
Lolz I actually counted. Sue me, I'm a freak!!

Lecture was freakishly boring, made a little more bearable with the horde of BIE people that is taking the 2 modules with us. (Read:Eye candies)But that will also mean a lot more competition. God knows how freakingly muggish BIE people are. They sat at the first row.(okay maybe because the rest of the rows were taken and they had no choice, but that's besides the point) Studies have shown that people sitting in the front row absorb more than any other people and I'm not talking about the Prof's saliva. It is because their level of concentration is higher.

EYE CANDIES!!!
(read: It's what I go to school for)

I do not heart ScHool
The wet weather these few days are starting to dampen my mood. Then again, it makes great sleeping periods. SHe's "Tian hui" kinda describes my mood appropriately. With ScHool days looming, I hardly see a reason to rejoice. 19 hrs of gruelling lectures per week, that almost makes up to an entire day. A FREAKING DAY!!

Logged onto ivle for the longest time in two months. Thank god most of the modules are still empty except for the MA module which I think would be a killer.Stupid Jia and Yogi says they miss MA modules, cos they score in it. I think they won't be missing it much after actually taking this killer.

It's very hard to adjust into life of not hacking monsters and lvling up to studying. okay I need a life. Sch's gonna sux. I figure myself seeing so-and-so and so-and-so all over the place. It'll be a huge orgy of hi-s and bye-s simultaneously heard all over the place. I'll try my darnest to feign a weak smile and lift my hand to wave back, okay?

I'm already formulating funny answers to "so what did you do this holiday?" But why bother? oh I was in the dungeon killing Zombie mushrooms with my heal. hahaz Okay that wasn't very funny. The only thing I'm looking forward to is the season's ending to Lost 2 which resumes this Wed, DH ,Charmed and simpsons which resumes today after a period of holiday breaks.

Studying? What's that? Can eat? haha, sucks to be you.

ahhhz
My timetable mimics a vacuum cleaner. It's so packed that it'll make carbon look like diamond. I'll probably spend most of my time hovering around Lt7. I bet gm will be late on the first lecture. Anyone want to bet with me?

Totally random tots
Season 5 Scrubs
Episode 1 of Scrubs is so good ! I love Scrubs! Go watch it!

hmm.. so many ppl I know taking my 1pt gem, is that a good sign or a bad sign? Screwed, got 10% project apparently. Sighz.

I think mapling has screwed up my entire biological clock. The late nights, spending every waking moment playing. That's bad. School's starting soon. I resolve to stop playing. Somebody help!!!

haha Arsenal and Man U drew goaless.. lucky I nvr watch.. It's so freaking obvious. Man U fans will bet Man u win. Arsenal Fans will be Arsenal win. But it's confirmed fixed, but there's no proof. The the bookies will win money cos few people bet Draw! Eat both Sides.. wahahahaz.. Not the first time liaoz.

I cant wait to go see Stefanie's concert!! yay.. =)

I hope school doesn't Start so soon. I haven finish the tutorials yet. Been busy mapling. hahaz.

Life's Great! Apparently, it works if i keep repeating the same sentence over and over again. Self physco..

I resolve to be a chao mugger like yogi! But he's too smart for me liao. He's like lvl 50 while I'm onli lvl 35.. sighz.

Me wanna compliment Osim on the yummilicious picture of curvecous Fiona Xie Ad on trains and shopping complexes. It's the one where it feature Fiona in a lot of different position. The Uzap Izap.. *Slurps Me thinks it's great eye candy but it's a bit of an overdose.

Hi want some pie?

*Shocked
Can't wait for it Next sun it'll air again in US!!!
omfg! Season 5 of scrubs airs Today!

Think outside the box.. what box ?
You are driving along in your car on a wild, stormy night, when you pass by a bus stop, and you see three people waiting for the bus:

1. An old lady who looks as if she is about to die.

2. An old friend who once saved your life.

3. The perfect partner you have been dreaming about.

Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing that there could only be one passenger in your car?

Think before you continue reading...

This is a moral/ethical dilemma that was once actually used as part of a job application.

You could pick up the old lady, because she is going to die, and thus you should save her first; Or you could take the old friend because he once saved your life, and this would be the perfect chance to pay him back. However, you may never be able to find your perfect mate again.

The candidate who was hired (out of 200 applicants) had no trouble coming up with his answer. He simply answered: "I would give the car keys to my old friend and let him take the lady to the hospital. I would stay behind and wait for the bus with the partner of my dreams."

Sometimes, we gain more if we are able to give up our stubborn thought limitations. Never forget to "Think Outside of the Box."

However, The correct answer is to run the old lady over and put her out of her misery, have sex with the perfect partner against the bus stop sign, then drive off with the old friend for some beers.

hmmm
Second day of 2006 and I'm loving it already.

Omg really got one Extra Second!! Lolz xD

Resolutions 2006
I resolve to Mug more Mug more and mug more!

Creativity

The process of creativity is a mysterious and interesting one. It is brilliantly described in the following story. A student refused to parrot back what he had been taught in class. When the student protested, I was asked to act as arbiter between the student and his professor.

I went to my colleague's office and read the examination question: 'Show how it is possible to determine the height of a tall building with the aid of a barometer.'

The student had answered: 'Take the barometer to the top of the building, attach a long rope to it, lower the barometer to the street and then bring it up, measuring the length of the rope. The length of the rope is the height of the building.'

A high grade is supposed to certify competence in physics, but the answer did not confirm this. I suggested that the student have another try at answering the question. I gave the student six minutes, with the warning that his answer should show some knowledge of physics. In the next minute he dashed off his answer, which read: 'Take the barometer to the top of the building and lean over the edge of the roof. Drop the barometer, timing its fall with a stopwatch. Then, using the formula S = 1/2a t(2), calculate the height of the building.'

At this point, I asked my colleague if he would give up. He conceded, and I gave the student almost full credit.

In leaving my colleague's office, I recalled that the student had said he had other answers to the problem, so I asked him what they were.

'Oh, yes. There are many ways of getting the height of a tall building with the aid of a barometer. For example, you could take the barometer out on a sunny day and measure the height of the barometer, the length of its shadow, and the length of the shadow of the building, and by the use of a simple proportion, determine the height of the building.'

Fine, I said. And the others?

'Yes. Take the barometer and begin to walk up the stairs. As you climb the stairs, you mark off the length of the barometer along the wall. You then count the number of marks, and this will give you the height of the building in barometer units. A very direct method.'

'Finally, there are many other ways of solving the problem. Proably not the best is to take the barometer to the basement and knock on the superintendent's door. When the superintendent answers, you speak to him as follows: "Mr. Superintendent, here I have a fine barometer. If you will tell me the height of this building, I will give you this barometer."'

Happy New year!
Wa lau got wasted last night.
Don't remember what I did.. Lolz
Blehz I still have the taste of Chivas lingering in my mouth..

Anyway, Happy new Year.
