Nong nong way to go.. I read with awe and shock that a tiny singaporean girl could cause such furore and anger amongst Chinese people just beacause she's unhappy about her stay in China for SEP. It is inconceivable that people could make splashes and splashes of waves over the net without reprecussions, especially on the internet where material is avaliable to all.

Are we really so myopic that we can't condone other cultures? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of having an exchange program in the first place. People are entitled to their own opinions yes but they also have to consider the fact that others might be hurt by your views. The SMU Exchange article has reached cult status in SMU where the internet savvy university students
can easily exchange links via blogs or msn.That's not the point. The point is why can't we all be
civilised adults and not make constructive criticism instead of painful, hurtful ones. We still have a nong nong way to go I guess..
