Movie review!! So we discovered that The devil wears prada will only show in Singapore 7 sept. How sad. That would be like halfway thru my semester. That's way too long. So naturally with the help of the powers of the internet we managed to obtain a bootleg copy!

It was mightly awesome even though I was frustrated at some of the changes that the movie made. To be fair, the movie would have been boring if it had followed religiously to the book, knowing full well that most of the thoughts the readers encountered were self-dialogue which seem to mock the fashion industry and Miranda in every concievable way. The movie sorta humanised Miranda Priestly, whom was potrayed in the book to be a cold cruel mean wintery ice queen. Like how she demanded Andrea to write an acceptance speech in 45 minutes she knows nothing about in a foreign language she can speak only to find out she decided not to go anyway. She barely spoke more than a few words other than barking instructions down at her let alone show her feelings.

Still I had to reiterate that Hollywood's redition of the show was amazing. I guess it was not half as horrific as I had imagine, typical hollywood injection and humor. People only prefer books because it gives an imaginative aspect to the story. Go watch! sept 7!
