One of the things I don't like about the local papers is it's objectivity that tends towards the agenda of the government. Taxis fares are still too low? What are you kidding me? It is the most expensive in the region for a few kilometres of travel. I went to bangkok and it's actually the same price or cheaper to hail a cab than to take public transport. It's something we had to figure out the hard way when we went and took the train. I figured as long as there are prices rising, as long as there are ruthless mercenary bureaucrats around there will be complaints and discontent with this nation.
With the suspension of Mr brown's all so interesting and insightful column on the today paper, it pains me to know we're still living in restricted speaking era. But it's good to know that mr brown has not lost his sense of humor listening to his weekly podcast after all that. But there was a tinge of "wu nai" in his tone.
