Ask a Librarian.
Had an ask a librarian session today. It was rather insightful. The librarian is like a search GOD. She can search for anything using proximity operators. She taught the use of using these search functions on search Engines. I didn't know you could do that. It's so amazing!!
Suppose you want to search for a topic "Impact of cultural diversity in the workplace. " You could type (Impact or result* or effect* or consequence*) and (cultural diversity or multiculturalism) and (workplace or office*)
"(some word)" means the google or whatever search engine will place emphasis on the word in side
"or" means alternatives of that word to use.
"word*" means it will search for words or word Eg: Strateg* will mean Strategic or strategize or strategically.
Say you wanna search for Bad service in Singapore. You could search "Bad near5 service"
It means if bad is 5 words near service, it'll show up. Some engines use "n5" Cos if you want to find examples bad would be near the proximity of the word service. Has something to do with the way people writes.
Say you wanna search for Bad and service in the same paragraph, you'd use"Bad same service"
It'll show results of bad and service in the same paragraph.

Had my first tutorial of the sem today. It was horrendous. The tutor reminded me of David Mayor my Yr one maths tutor who spoke to himself. Although I think David Mayor was better, at least he did something. This guy just stood there and did nothing. I didn't get one thing in. He didn't even finish one question. He's a farking retard! Tutors like him should be hung, shot, stoned, deep fried, whipped, caned, burned, re-hung and shot again. Argghhhzz!!

Last night I dreamt I was locked up in a prison cell, when i woke up I was screaming, calling out your name. And the judge and the jury, they all put the blame on me. They wanna tell from my story, They wanna hear my plea.
I stand accused.
